Erin Barger
President & CEO
As President and CEO of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, Erin Barger is inspired by the vision of the Food Bank, which is to awaken one day when every neighbor has enough food every day. She believes that this can be done in her lifetime, but only because she is fully convinced that Northeast Georgia is second to none in the philanthropy and resilience required to make this vision a reality. Erin leads the Food Bank’s team of 30+ talented individuals applying decades of experience in the human services and nonprofit fields. She holds a Master of Social Work degree, with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Western Kentucky University. Previous to leading the Food Bank into a new phase of organizational growth, Erin was the Vice President of Programs at Action Ministries and Executive Director of Our Daily Bread, focusing on connecting neighbors with basic necessities, most importantly food access.
