Chief Philanthropy Officer

As Chief Philanthropy Officer, Kelly Klein is passionate about making our world a better place to live, learn and work. In her role, Kelly focuses on resource development, marketing & communications, volunteer engagement and advocacy across the organization. Kelly also oversees the Member Relations team, supporting the growth and capacity of over 200 nonprofit partnerships who are the hands and feet of the Food Bank. Kelly brings nearly 2 decades of experience in nonprofit development, communications and consulting, personally having raised nearly $100 million collectively for not for profits across the country. Previously, Kelly managed institutional relationships at the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a sister food bank, for the past decade. Her vast experience and knowledge are a key asset to our team and the organization’s new phase of growth. Kelly holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration, with a Certificate in Fundraising Management, from North Park University and a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs from Southern Methodist University.
